Ana Jenkins’ testimony is that of perseverance, determination, and dedication. One of six children, Ana is the daughter of Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr. and First Lady Trina K. Jenkins of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Landover, Maryland. At 16 years old, Ana became a teen mom after giving birth to a beautiful daughter. Beating the odds, she went on to graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
With a lifelong goal to fulfill God’s greatest purpose for her life, Ana diligently pursues the fullness of God, focusing on an authentic relationship with Christ. She now devotedly serves in several roles of ministry at her home church, the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. With a heart to worship and a desire to see people experience the presence of God, she serves as a praise and worship leader in the Music and Arts Ministry. Her passion to educate and guide young women has led her to serve as the Assistant Director of Sisters For Your Journey, a covenant group which focuses on creating a safe place for women to share life’s struggles, grow in Christ, and build sisterhood.
When she is not pursuing career endeavors or engaging in ministry activities, Ana enjoys serving her community as a cheerleading coach. She also enjoys reading, writing, spending time with her family and being a devoted mother to her ten-year-old daughter, Anaya.
